The mobile application reviewed herein offers a robust solution for wearable device developers aiming to harness Valencell’s motion-tolerant biometrics through its Patent-Protected Benchmark® sensor system. The application facilitates the simultaneous collection of data from comparative BLE-enabled heart rate monitors, allowing researchers to effectively assess the performance of Valencell’s technology in comparison to traditional heart rate chest straps.

Additionally, the platform enables users to investigate various biometric parameters, including RR-interval and pulse volume. The data can be streamed via BLE to the mobile application, which conveniently stores it in CSV format. This feature simplifies the process for researchers to conduct comparative statistics and explore new biometric assessments utilizing Valencell’s innovative technology.

For optimal use of this application, access to a Benchmark® sensor system is necessary, along with an additional BLE-enabled heart rate monitoring device. However, researchers can still utilize the app for basic data storage with merely a single BLE-enabled heart rate monitor.
